Dal “Ritratto di Baldassarre Castiglione” dipinto da Raffaello Sanzio, un progetto pittorico di Patrizia Atti che, attraverso luci iridescenti e moltiplicazione dello sguardo, pone lo spettatore dinanzi ad un enigma in cui si fondono scienza e arte. In esposizione, cento opere ad olio su tela di piccole dimensioni (13×13 centimetri), tutte realizzate nel 2016 e nel 2017, che ritraggono fedelmente l’occhio sinistro di Baldassarre Castiglione. Unica variante, la colorazione dell’iride, esito di un’approfondita ricerca cromatica. Cento occhi. Stessa forma, diverso colore. Impercettibili mutamenti del segno – si legge nel testo di presentazione – che si traducono in moti dell’animo. L’arco del sopracciglio come lancetta dei cambiamenti del cuore. Cromatismi dell’iride affidati alle Rune Nordiche. Misteriosi processi alchemici dispiegano le loro tassidermie su latitudini e longitudini di “Mundus Imaginalis”, criptate nelle tonalità dell’iride. Pagine di occhi in proporzioni auree, dove la pupilla diventa il centro della spirale della conchiglia di un Nautilus. Iridescenze: unioni della natura con l’arte, della scienza con l’arte. Un lavoro, quello di Patrizia Atti, che trae ispirazione dallo sguardo di Baldassarre Castiglione dipinto da Raffaello, la cui iride azzurra, collocata dall’artista nell’angolo esterno dell’occhio, instaura con lo spettatore un rapporto di scambio, profondo, che cela un mistero, una consapevolezza segreta condivisa da pittore e scrittore. È uno sguardo in cui l’anima emana un enigma, presente ma inaccessibile. L’osservatore viene seguito, abbracciato dallo sguardo dipinto in qualunque posizione si trovi. L’artista opera come la natura, che nel suo riprodursi non è mai uguale a se stessa. Ripetizione del gesto che trasforma il linguaggio in poesia»
From the “Portrait of Baldassarre Castiglione” painted by Raffaello Sanzio, a pictorial project by Patrizia Atti who, through iridescent lights and multiplication of the gaze, places the viewer before an enigma that matches science and art. On display, one hundred small oil paintings on canvas (13×13 cm), all made in 2016 and 2017, which faithfully portray Baldassarre Castiglione’s left eye. The only variant, the color of the iris, is the result of a thorough chromatic research. One hundred eyes. Same shape, different color. Imperceptible changes in the sign – it can be read in the presentation text – which translate into movements of the soul. The arch of the eyebrow as a hand for changes in the heart. Iris chromatisms entrusted to the Nordic Runes. Mysterious alchemical processes unfold their taxidermies on the latitudes and longitudes of “Mundus Imaginalis”, encrypted in the shades of the iris. Pages of eyes in golden proportions, where the pupil becomes the center of the spiral in the shell of a Nautilus. Iridescence: unions of nature with art, of science with art. A work which draws inspiration from the gaze of Baldassarre Castiglione painted by Raffaello, whose blue iris, placed by the artist in the outer corner of the eye, establishes a deep exchange relationship with the spectator, concealing a mystery, a secret awareness shared by painter and writer. It is a gaze in which the soul emanates an enigma, present but inaccessible. The observers are followed and embraced by the painted gaze in any position they stand.
